2nd Admella Update

Well it was bigger than Ben Hur (in my mind anyway) but it all went really well. The only set back was the sunlight. It was too bright! Still , we waited until it dipped down below the horizon and then got stuck into the filming. We had a cast of 18 and a crew of 4. Getting the 16ft wooden dingy over the 300m of sand hills to the beach was energetic but we had lots of laughter doing it. Actually, getting it back was even funnier as some of the blokes had hopped into an esky of coldies.

Dale's horses were magnificent! So gentle and calm!

I've been asked to do a presentation of what we've got so far to the Glenelg Shire Admella committee. I'm hoping that they will also be interested in our DVD.

Admella Project Update

Next week we will be filming the first section of the lip sinc part of the clip. This is proving to be a complicated procedure as I need to organise around 15 actors into a sequence of action that happens within 59 seconds (followed by another section of 42 seconds) and right on cue. All the people need period clothing of which I have most of but will need to source some more. The logistics of getting everyone on the set at the same time, in time to catch the right daylight (or sunset in this case) and catch the action, is difficult. I'll let you know how it goes!!
